Where is the "Generate documentation" button and what does the Action column do?

Last updated on Nov 10, 2025

Short Answer: The blue "Generate documentation" button is at the top-right of the CodeDoc pages; the table’s "Action" column contains icons for per-repository/run actions (view details, run, or manage).

Prerequisites

  1. Be signed in to Everdone

  2. Open the CodeDoc page

Steps

  1. Open any CodeDoc tab (Overview, Documentation, Usage, Automation, Settings).
The header with the blue "Generate documentation" button appears in the top-right.

  2. In any repository or run table, look for the "Action" column at the right of each row.
An icon is shown that you can click to open run/repository actions or view details.

  3. Click the Action icon to open available actions for that row (e.g., view documented files).
A dialog or action menu opens for that repository/run.

Troubleshooting

  1. Action icon is missing or clicking it does nothing.
LikelyCause: Insufficient permission or UI overlay is blocking clicks.
Action: Confirm your role in Settings → Documentation settings and close any overlapping modal; reload the page.

Note: The action icon appearance may vary (document icon, kebab menu). On hover it often reveals the available action name.
