Answer
PreRequisites
-
You have access to the repo and the 'Share' button is visible
-
If sharing publicly, 'Document access' set to 'Public'
Steps
-
Click 'Share' in the top-right of the repo header.
'Share documentation' modal opens. -
If you need a public link, select 'Public' under 'Document access'.
Public option is selected and shown in the modal. -
Click 'Copy link'.
Shareable link copied to your clipboard.
Troubleshooting
- Clicking 'Copy link' doesn't copy the URL or nothing happens.
LikelyCause: Browser blocked clipboard access or the doc is Private so public link isn't available.
Action: Allow clipboard access in browser settings or set 'Document access' to 'Public' (if you have permission), then try again. Alternatively manually copy the URL from the address bar.
Note: A copied link points to the published doc view; recipients can view without signing in only if 'Public' is selected.
