How do I assign or change the Assignee for a test case?

Short Answer: Use the "Assignee" dropdown in the right sidebar to select the responsible person (current value shown, for example, as "Sarah Chen").

PreRequisites

  1. Be signed in to the app.

Steps

  1. Locate the "Assignee" field in the right-side panel.
    You will see the current assignee (for example, "Sarah Chen").

  2. Click the "Assignee" dropdown and choose a name from the list.
    The selected name appears in the field, and the change is recorded in "History".

Troubleshooting

  1. Unable to change the assignee.

    Likely Cause: You may not have permission to reassign the test case or available options are restricted.

    Action: Refresh the page and try again. If the issue persists, contact the project Owner or Admin listed under "People with access".

Note: All assignee changes are tracked in the "History" timeline.
