Short Answer: The button is disabled when required inputs are missing (for example, empty "Product" or "Feature / Page / Use-case"). Fill the required fields to enable it.
PreRequisites
- Open the "Create test cases" page.
Steps
-
Check the "Basic details" section for empty fields, especially "Product" and "Feature / Page / Use-case".
Empty fields will be visibly unfilled. -
Fill in the "Product" field (select or type) and "Feature / Page / Use-case".
Both fields should now display values (for example, "Web Portal" and "Checkout"). -
Verify that the "Generate test cases" button changes from greyed out to active (blue).
The button becomes clickable once required inputs are provided. -
If the button remains disabled, refresh the page and try again.
This can resolve temporary UI issues.
Troubleshooting
-
Button remains disabled after fields are filled.
Likely Cause: Browser blocking scripts, validation delay, or network issue.
Action: Enable JavaScript, perform a hard refresh, try another browser, or check your internet connection. If the issue persists, contact support.
-
Clicking the enabled button has no effect.
Likely Cause: Server-side error or client-side glitch.
Action: Wait a moment and try again. If it still fails, capture a screenshot and contact support.
Note: Screen examples show the button disabled on an empty form and enabled after required fields are filled.
