Short Answer: Editing controls and some content are hidden when you’re not signed in; use Sign In or Start For Free to authenticate so controls become available.
PreRequisites
- Have an account (or create one via Start For Free).
Steps
-
If the header shows Sign In and Start For Free, click Sign In and enter your credentials.
You’re authenticated and returned to the issue page. -
After signing in, reload the issue page if controls still do not appear.
Full issue controls (Status, Assignee, Share, View full file) are visible. -
If you still cannot edit, confirm the review’s Document access isn’t restricting you (open Share and check).
You’ll see whether access is Private or Public and can request access if needed.
Troubleshooting
-
‘Sign In’ doesn’t work or page still shows not-signed-in UI.
LikelyCause: Browser session/cookie issue or network problem.
Action: Clear cookies/cache or try another browser. Ensure network access and try signing in again. -
Signed in but still can’t edit fields.
LikelyCause: You lack required permissions or the review is Private and you aren’t a team member.
Action: Ask the review owner to grant access via Share or adjust your role so you can edit.
Note: The app header shows Sign In and Start For Free when you’re not authenticated.
