How do I filter issues by tags or type (for example ‘Bug’, ‘Security’, ‘Performance’)

Last updated on Feb 19, 2026

Short Answer: Use the top filter controls where tags appear (e.g., Bug, Security, Performance) or the appropriate filter dropdown to include that type in results.

PreRequisites

  1. Repository Issues page is open

Steps

  1. Locate the top filter row where active filters like develop, High, Bug, Resolved appear.
You see the active tag/filters area with labels such as Bug, Security, Performance.

  2. Click the filter chip that corresponds to the tag/type you want (or open the dropdown that includes that option) to activate/deactivate it.
The issues list updates to include only issues matching the selected tag/type.

  3. Combine tag/type filters with Severity or Status (e.g., High, Open/Resolved) to narrow results further.
Results reflect the combination of selected filters.

  4. To clear tag/type filters, deselect the tag chip or reset the related dropdown to default (e.g., All types).
The tag filter is removed and the list expands accordingly.

Troubleshooting

  1. Selecting a tag does not change the list.
LikelyCause: The tag filter is combined with other filters that exclude all results.
Action: Clear or adjust other filters (All severity, All status, All assignees, All files) and try again.

Note: Tag names appear next to issue titles and as active filter chips in the filter row on some screens.
