What do the "Published" and "Draft"mean?

Last updated on Oct 16, 2025

Short Answer:
Status pills in the search dropdown indicate an item’s current state—Published (live/approved) or Draft (work in progress).

Prerequisites

  1. Perform a search so results are visible

Steps

  1. Click the top-bar search box (“Search repositories and files…”) and enter a query.
    The results dropdown appears.

  2. Look to the right of each result for a status pill (e.g., Published in green, Draft in orange).

  3. Use the pill as a quick signal when choosing which item to open—Published for finalized content, Draft for items still being edited.

Troubleshooting

  1. Some results have no status pill

    • LikelyCause: That item doesn’t expose a status or it isn’t applicable.

    • Action: Open the repository or file to view its details if you need more context.

Note: Status pills are shown inline in the results to provide at-a-glance state information.
